Oh My God! Thank you so much! Ah, I don't believe this! Probably not as much as my brother doesn't believe this. He used to yell "shut up!" and slam the door when I tried to sing Paul McCartney. How 'bout that Big Brother Drew? Okay, I wrote this down because as you see with Richard there's a lot of people involved. Thank you Hollywood Foreign Press for so warmly receiving this film that was our little talent show, wasn't it? And the long time dream of so many, SO MANY people coming to fruition. So it meant so much, thank you. All the ladies on the list..I thought "there's no way!". I barely wrote this legibly 'cause I didn't think I was gonna need it! What an honor, and to Miramax for taking a chance on a musical for crying out loud. Especially Meryl Poster, for not letting me chicken out, thank you. And to Harvey Weinstein, the tough guy on the playground, with the biggest heart. Thank you for saying you do anything for your friends and you always do, thank you. Okay, here we go, ready. My Chicago family: Catherine, the beauty. I'm tellin' you, there's nobody I'd rather take those steps with than you. I'll never forget it. The laughter, and listening to you every day, and being around you in your bliss like that. I swear, I mean, it was such a joy. You're a goddess and I'm so glad that the world now knows what you can do. Okay, and then there's Richard, my first boyfriend even though he doesn't know it. I'm so proud of you honey, congratulations! Of course, the wonderful John C. who's the star of every movie he does. Latifah, you are my Queen! I adore you! Christine Baranski, who is so, so talented and inspiring. Taye Diggs, thank you for letting me step all over you, literally. I know I miss the knee sometimes and I'm very sorry! The Broadway dancers, what a pleasure. Cynthia, Joey, Denise for teaching, John DeLuca for teaching, Paul and Elaine at the piano. Rick, Randy, Matt for courage in the recording studio. Our producers, Marty Richards, thank you for trusting me with your dream! Of course, Craig and Neil who were there every day. The BRILLIANT Bill Condon who made this work. I'm almost done, I swear to God! My fellows at CAA, who take good care of me. Brant, Brian, Kevin, of course Jenny. Mom, Dad and Drew for never saying "don't try". Suge Ellison for believing first.
