Animated Plot Line: It is the comedic tale of Barry B. Benson (Seinfeld), a graduate bee fresh out of college, who is disillusioned with the prospect of having only one career choice -- honey. On a chance opportunity to go outside the hive, Barry's life is saved by a woman, Vanessa (Zellweger), a florist in New York City. As their relationship blossoms, Barry's eyes are opened to the world of humans and he soon discovers that people partake in the mass consumption of honey. Armed with this information, Barry realizes his true calling in life and decides to sue the human race for stealing the bees' honey. As a result, the bee and human communities get involved in ways they never had before, each one of them pointing a finger at the other. Barry gets caught up in the middle and finds himself with some very unusual problems to solve. ¡@ |

16/10/07 Renee Appearing in Oprah Jerry says he didn't need to look very far to find an actress to
play Vanessa, Barry B. Benson's human crush in Bee Movie. From the
beginning, he had his sights set on his neighbor, Academy Award®-winning actress
Renée Zellweger. "She's so sweet, and I thought, 'That's a good match for a
bee,'" he says. Like Oprah, Renée says it took some time for her to open up and
really become her character. "You think that you would feel safe in that moment
where there's no camera, nobody's really watching you, but there's nothing to
hide behind either," she says. "[You're] completely exposed. It's very easy to
feel foolish when you try. ¡K It takes a minute to get past the
self-consciousness."

Joining Seinfeld and Zellweger in the cast of Bee Movie are (in alphabetical order): Alan
Arkin, Kathy Bates, Robert Duvall, Eric Idle, Larry King, William H. Macy, Tim
Blake Nelson, Uma Thurman, Patrick Warburton and Oprah Winfrey. Also in
discussions to join the cast is Matthew Broderick.

going to do this summer, other than promote "Cinderella Man," her boxing drama
with Russell Crowe? 'A movie with Jerry Seinfeld. Fun right?' chirps the Oscar
winner. 'It's an animated feature, [entitled] "Bee Movie." [that] he wrote and
will produce and star in. It's fantastic, so smart.' The Dreamworks pic, about
the inner workings of bee society--or what Seinfeld has called, 'the world's
most harmoniously run organization'--is in preproduction, with the comedian
slated to voice the lead male honey-maker. 'I'm playing the florist,' Zellweger
explains. 'I'll pop in for a little while in June. I look forward to spending
some time and bouncing ideas off the wall with him.' We're--heh, heh--abuzz with
excitement too, Renee!" According to the current issue of
Entertainment Weekly, Renee is going to do a new animated movie, Bee Movie this
coming summer. She will play as a bee florist in this new film directed by Jerry
